Antibacterial properties of PURAC

L(+)-lactic acid itself already possesses antibacterial properties, but especially in combination with other ingredients, which are widely used in the detergent industry, PURAC becomes an efficient ingredient. L(+)-lactic acid is a nonmutagenic substance with a very friendly toxicological profile for both mankind and the environment. PURAC has notified its L(+)-lactic acid for the European Biocide Directive and it is listed as a FIFRA-approved active ingredient.
