PURASORB®  for surgical sutures

 

PURASORB resorbable polymers are used in the production of synthetic resorbable mono- and multi-filaments for surgical sutures and other fiber based products. Products such as resorbable sutures provide a well-established, safe and patient compliant wound management solution for medical professionals.

PURASORB solutions for mono- and multi-filament fibers are commercially available in our Polylactide platform, our PLGA (lactide/glycolide copolymers) platform, and our Capro (lactide/caprolactone copolymers) platform. PURASORB materials can be processed by conventional processing and manufacturing techniques such as extrusion, fiber-spinning, braiding and coating processes, and can be subjected to different sterilization techniques.
