PURASORB® for controlled release systems

 

PURASORB polymers are used as resorbable excipients in the formulation of controlled release drug delivery systems. Using PURASORB in your controlled release formulation enables you to deliver therapeutic levels of a drug to patients over days, weeks, or months, with a single injection. PURASORB polymers provide a well-established, safe and patient compliant drug delivery solution for medical professionals.

PURASORB solutions for controlled release systems are commercially available in our PDLG (Poly DL-lactide/glycolide) and PDL (Poly DL-lactide) family of polymers.

PURASORB materials allow for maximum flexibility in formulation technologies, ranging from extrusion and solvent processing to spray drying. Therefore, PURASORB polymers are the material of choice for the production of implants, microspheres, and gel depot systems.
