Our lactic acid is produced as natural L(+)-lactic acid by fermentation of sugar. 

Lactic acid is a common ingredient, however creating a lactic acid fit for use in pharmaceuticals requires stringent down stream processing.

Lactic acid is mainly used in the pharma industry for acidification, productions of pharmaceutical derivatives and as pH controller in pharmaceutical fermentations.
