Skin rejuvenation
As population ages, there is a dramatic increase in demand for products to rejuvenate the skin and reduce wrinkles. Unfortunately, many of the treatments in the market are expensive or invasive...often both. Alcohol extracts, animal collagen, and exotic marine organisms are just some of the many forms of costly anti-aging ingredients found in store aisles today.
Fortunately, there is a proven alternative to these costly ingredients. Alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) is a well-researched anti-aging ingredient proven to promote regeneration and renewal of the skin. Alpha hydroxy acid's action is two-fold as it stimulates the production of collagen and promotes skin renewal by desquamation. Yet not all alpha hydroxy acids are created equal. Often, the higher the properties for skin renewal the higher the potential for irritation. PURAC® BF P/41 buffered lactic acid has the advantage of being effective combined with the least irritation potential compared to other exfoliating ingredients.
