Biobased plastics
Biobased plastics are already being used in a variety of
applications such as disposable drinking cups, plates, knives &
forks, and packaging materials. They are preferred over oil-based
plastics because they are made from renewable resources and can
reduce CO2 emissions for plastics.
The challenge today is to create more biobased plastic
products that contribute to a sustainable world.
