Sodium lactate is the sodium salt of natural L(+)-lactic acid, which is produced by fermentation of carbohydrates. Sodium lactate is used for preservation as well as flavor enhancement in food products.
Sodium lactate is available as a clear liquid, or as a white powder. It is soluble in water.

Potassium lactate is the potassium salt of natural L(+)-lactic acid, which is produced by fermentation of carbohydrates.
Potassium lactate is used for preservation and to reduce sodium in food products, especially meat & poultry products.

Potassium lactate is available as a clear liquid and is soluble in water.


Sodium diacetate is a combination of sodium acetate and acetic acid.

Sodium diacetate is used for preservation in food products and for pH control
