Our solutions for PLA bioplastics have been created to allow
producers to develop the polymers that have the best performance
for their particular application. Based on discussions with our
partners Purac has developed new products and new fermentation and
purification processes. A new PLA polymerization process has been
developed with Lactides as starting material. By making use of
already existing economies of scale for Lactic Acid, these
solutions greatly reduce technology hurdles and financial risks for
our partners, while allowing value-added applications to be
developed.
We can't innovate alone: you are our partner. True innovation
only works if we pool our resources. It's through collaboration
that we're able to bring new and improved products and technologies
to the market quickly and efficiently - giving you a competitive
edge in a perfect win-win situation.
We like to think organically. We understand that our activities are
part of a bigger system, and that solutions only mature through
collaboration with other parts of the value-chain. To understand
where and how new solutions can be created, Purac's network spans
from agriculture to polymer converters, from engineering companies
to NGO's, and from Universities to brand-owners.
Purac has strong competencies and experience in the
industrial-scale fermentative production of Lactic Acid, Lactates
and Lactides, using carbohydrates as feedstock. But we are
much more than just a raw material producer. We are your partner to
develop the technologies that you need to create a total solution
in, among others, Lactide based bioplastics.
This means that we are highly motivated to collaborate in a network
of partners throughout the value-chain and that we develop our
shared vision from an overall systems perspective. Together we
deliver results by focussing on quality, performance, efficiency
and sustainability.
