Purac awarded 'Green Exhibitor Award' at the Food Ingredients Europe

Purac was awarded the 'Green exhibitor award' for the greenest stand at the Food Ingredients Europe exhibition.  The Green exhibitor award was awarded to 'the exhibitor who has demonstrated innovative efforts to prevent and reduce the environmental impacts of their exhibition stand at FIE'.

Our efforts included the use of energy efficient lightbulbs, providing only fair trade, organic coffee and tea, using non-toxic materials for the booth itself, having an almost paperless booth where information was provided on biodegradable USB sticks made from PLA. Also, coffee and tea were served in reusable crockery and softdrinks in biodegradable cups.  Customers and relations were invited using only electronic invitations and even our dishwasher on the stand used environmentally friendly soap.  Above all, our products are made from renewable resources and contribute to the sustainability goals of our customers.

The exhibition ran from 17th - 19th November 2009 and we used this opportunity to showcase our latest innovations in natural preservation and mineral fortification.  The FIE was also the platform for Purac to launch our new corporate identity, including a new logo and new tagline 'pure by nature'.

This new identity was created in order to further reinforce our commitment to natural business solutions, based on pure, natural ingredients and processes, such as fermentation and an open and transparent way of working with our customers.  To win the Green exhibitor award at the launch of our new identity was the ultimate reward and is a fantastic recognition of our efforts in this field.
