Purac joins BE-Basic consortium for biobased economy

CSM's subsidiary Purac signed on 18 February 2010 a research contract to participate in the research program of BE-Basic; a consortium of international knowledge institutes, the Dutch
government, global industry and financial partners. The research program aims at developing an economy based on renewable resources. Purac is a partner in this consortium as it develops new sustainable building blocks for the chemical industry.

'Green exhibitor award' for Purac

Purac was awarded the 'Green exhibitor award' for the greenest stand at the Food Ingredients Europe exhibition. The Green exhibitor award was awarded to 'the exhibitor who has demonstrated innovative efforts to prevent and reduce the environmental impacts of their exhibition stand at FIE'.
